  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 10/21/1936 Joseph Altmayer, 67 years old, died yesterday at his home, 278 Fredericka street. Born in Austria, he had resided in North Tonawanda for the past 83 years. He is survived by a wife, Katherine; a son, Jacob; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Jedele and Mrs. George Proefrock; five grandchildren, all of North Tonawanda, and a sister, Mrs. Martin Matalensky, Austria. Rites will be held Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock from the residence and at 9 o'clock at the Ascension church, Rev. Daniel Malloy officiating.
