- Karl E. Hildebrandt, age 92 of the Town of Cambria, NY, was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, on February 6, 2025 while at the Buffalo General Medical Center. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on October 7, 1932, he was the son of Edward and Lucy (Andrees) Hildebrandt. Karl graduated from North Tonawanda High School, class of 1952. He was employed with the Town of Cambria Highway Department, as a heavy equipent operator for twenty years. A former member of St. John Lutheran Church, he was a long time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, NY. Karl was an avid hunter and fisherman.Survivors include his wife, Gloria L. (Walck) Hildebrandt, whom he married on January 18, 1964; two children, Anita (Rick) Mullen, and Amy (Nick) Southard, both of Lockport, NY; and five grandchildren, Chelsea Mullen, Rick Mullen Jr., Nicholas Southard, Michael Southard, and Andrew Southard.He was predeceased by four sisters, Dorothy Rowland, Betty Klein, Ruth Lamb, and Janet Duckworth.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Monday - February 10th. from 3-7 p.m. Services will held on Tuesday- February 11th. at 10:30 a.m. in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY 14132, with the Rev. Kurt Jensen, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Town of Wheatfield, NY.
