  Buffalo, Erie County, NY Morning Express, 10 May 1919 Chaplain James A Barnett of the US Motor Transportation Corps, notified Mrs Bertha Broecker of Saint Johnsburg of the death of her son, Charles F Broecker in France on April 23rd. Broecker was a motorcycle dispatch messenger. He was thrown from his machine and sustained a fractured skull.
