- Theodore Bauer Life story
Theodore P. Bauer, also known as Theo, 74, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on August 4, 2025. Born on January 1, 1951 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick R. Bauer, Sr. and the late Arlene M. (Prue) Bauer and the husband of Angela (Ognibene) Bauer, whom he married on June 9, 1973.
Theo graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Theo retired from the Laborers Local #91 and previously worked for the former General Abrasives. He was an active exempts member of Niagara Active Hose Volunteer Fire Company. Theo served as Past President of Niagara Active and was a member of the VFW #7545 and the Third Warders in North Tonawanda. He enjoyed NASCAR, golfing, watching the Seattle Seahawks and was an avid New York Yankee Fan.
In addition to his beloved wife, Theo is survived by children, Angelo Bauer and Shannon (Joseph) Outland; grandchildren, Nicholas (Amanda), Tyler (Jaymie), Kiera (Dominic), Tucker, Gavin, Lucas and Tiarra; great-grandchildren, Ciana, Kaylee, Oakley and Aliya; siblings, Arlene Lynn (Sam) Jyawook , Kathleen (John) Keller and Patrick Bauer and many nieces and nephews, especially his favorites, Joe and Angie Lotempio. Predeceased by brother Fred.
All are welcome to gather for visitation on Saturday, August 9th, from 1-5 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Theo’s funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m., with Rev. Mario Racho officiating, concluding with Military Honors.
