- Giovani "John"'s Obituary
Giovani “John” Alfonso Pagano, lifetime area resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025. He was 88. He was born in Niagara Falls on September 21, 1936, the son of the late Alfonso and Calogera (Tirone) Pagano. He served in the US Army until his honorable discharge in 1964.
Mr. Pagano worked for L-Tec in Niagara Falls as a chemist until his retirement.
John loved to play bocce with his nephew, Butch and Scott for many years, he also loved cooking and his family very much.
He is survived by his daughter, Margaret (David) Lindstrom and his son John Bryne. He’s also survived by his brother Salvatore (Patricia) Pagano as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pre-deceasing him was his wife Nora (Warrick) Pagano and his siblings Joseph Pagano, Anthony Pagano, Peter Pagano, James Pagano, Charles Pagano, Laura Herman and Antoinette Dibella.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 PM at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC. 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where prayers will be said Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. John de LaSalle RC Church. The interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
If desired, memorials in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
