- Rose Wilson Life story
Rose M. (Shepro) Wilson, 86, of the Town of Niagara, NY, passed away on January 23, 2025 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born on May 1, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marian (Jensen) Shepro. On September 21, 1957, she married Ronald L. ‘Ronnie’ Wilson. He predeceased her on February 16, 2023.
Rose was a longtime resident of the Town of Niagara, NY. She graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1956. Rose was employed as a retail clerk, for Sears Department Store, in Wheatfield, NY, working in the the Craftsman Tool Department. She previously worked as a hairdresser. Rose was an active member of Niagara Presbyterian Church and avid Buffalo Bills fan. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, crafts, crocheting, ceramics, making baby afghans and donating her handmaid shawls.
Rose is survived by sons, Ronald L. (Debra) Wilson, II and Russell M. Wilson; grandchildren, Adam Warrant Wilson, Laura Rose Wilson and Christina Mary Wilson; great-grandchildren, Keedyn and Aurora; sister, Patricia (late Carl) Manzo; devoted special nephew, Peter (Rozine) Nicosia and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and spouse, she was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Ann Wilson and sisters, Marian (late Joseph) Nicosia, Joan (living, Harvey) Valentine and Donna (late Harry) Machno.
All are welcome to gather for visitation on Monday, from 4-9 p.m., at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where Rose’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, at 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Ken Good officiating. Friends invited. Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Presbyterian Church and/or an Autism charity of your choice.
