- Dolores Thuman Obituary
Dolores M. Thuman (nee Brenon), age 100, of Tonawanda and Pendleton, entered into rest under hospice care on June 5, 2025.
Beloved wife of the late Gerard J. Thuman, who passed away in 1982. Daughter of the late Leo and Margaret Brenon. Dolores was predeceased by all 12 of her siblings and now joins them in eternal rest.
She was a devoted and loving mother to Linda (Charles) Vallone, Janet (Ted) Fox, Carol (Ken) Czyz, Robert (Sandy) Thuman, James (Amanda Brunner) Thuman, Colleen (Todd) Hils, and Thomas (Laurie Crowley) Thuman. Cherished grandmother of Michael Vallone, Andrew Vallone, Steven (Kristin Eisenhauer) Fox, Christine (Duncan) McCorquodale, Amy (Michael) Glomb, Jeffrey Czyz, Todd (Heather) Thuman, Tami Rogers, Ryan (Shannon) Thuman, Nathan Hils, and Michael (Samantha) Hils. Proud great-grandmother of Aiden Vallone, Spencer and Samantha Fox, Porter and Ava Thuman, Hudson and Avery Rogers, Emma Thuman, Magnolia Hils, and one great-grandchild expected soon. She is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews.
Dolores led a full and vibrant life. She was active in the Pendleton Senior Center and especially enjoyed traveling with her fellow members. She had a passion for games—particularly Bingo, crossword puzzles, and playing cards, with Kings in the Corner being a favorite. A talented seamstress, Dolores lovingly sewed clothing for her children in their younger years. She delighted in the simple joys of life, including birdwatching from her kitchen window. She was an avid Bills fan and looked forward to watching the games with her family.
Family vacations to the Thousand Islands in Clayton, NY, were among her most treasured memories. A woman of great faith, Dolores prayed the rosary daily and lived a life centered on love, humility, and service to others. She was deeply selfless, always putting others before herself.
She will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved her.
