- Norine B. (Lass) Taylor was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 4, 1931, a daughter of the late Edward and Edna (Boeldt) Lass. She attended local schools and was a 1949 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
Norine was employed at the former Woolworth’s Department Store and at Autolite prior to her full-time job as housewife and homemaker.
She volunteered as a 4-H Club leader during her children’s early years and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and needlepoint. She also enjoyed traveling and taking cruises.
As a longtime active member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Norine served as a Sunday school Teacher, sang in the church choir, helped during the annual church bazaar and with the Stitch-n-chat group.
She is survived by her husband William H Taylor, her children Dorine (Michael) of Grand Island, NY, Michael (Janet) Taylor and Bruce Taylor of Niagara Falls, NY and Cynthia (Robert) McCollum of Grand Blanc, Michigan, 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Irma Gravelle, and brothers Edward Lass, David Lass and Paul Lass.
Family will be present Wednesday, May 28th 4-7 PM at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Fall, NY. Funeral Services will be held at the same location on Thursday, May 29th at 11AM. Burial will take place in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Town of Lewiston.
The family would like to thank Niagara Hospice for their loving care and support that allowed Norine to stay in her home until she passed.
