A p r e t t y wedding was solemnized May 28 in t h e Third
P r e s b y t e r i a n Church when Mi.ss S h i r l e y Arbeiter, daught
e r of Mr. a n d Mrs. Michael J. A r b e i t e r , Lindsay Place,
became t h e b r i d e of David Richards, Ward Rd.
White candles and baskets of
white shasta chrysanthemums dec-
orated the chancel of the church
for the wedding. The Rev. William
Saye officiated.
The bride wore a gown of em-
broidered nylon with a bouffant
floor-length skirt over white satin,
and a jacket of matching ma-
terial. Her fingertip veil of French
illusion fell from a cap headpiece
embroidered with seed pearls.
She carried a miniature colonial
bouquet of white roses and carna-
tions.
Miss Grace Summings attended
the bride as maid of honor. Her
gown of French blue nylon was
complemented with pink accesso-
ries. The full skirt of the dress
was fashioned with tiers of ruf-
fles. She carried a minature bou-
quet of pink roses and yellow car-
nations.
Elmer Richards Jr. attended the
bridegroom as best man.
For her daughter's wedding,
Mrs. Arbeiter chose an aqua nylon
dress with white accessories. The
bridegroom's mother chose a two-
piece beige suit with white accesso-
ries..
A wedding supper was served in
the Isle View for immediate fam-
iles and the bridal party. Later a
lawn reception was given at the
Richard's home in Ward Rd. The
punch table was centered with a
tiered wedding cake, flanked by
miniature cakes and orchids
After a wedding trip in Canada,
Mr. and Mrs. Richard are at
home in 51 Delaware St.
Among the pre-nuptial parties
given for the bride were a surprise
shower by her sorority sisters and
a party given by office employes
of the Spaulding Fibre Company.
