  Obituary from The Evening News Monday, October 12, 1942 MRS. MATILDA BACH Mrs. Matilda Bach, 68, died Sunday afternoon at her home, 328 Schenck street. Born in Germany, she had resided inthe Tonawandas for the past 56 years. She was a member of St. Peter's church on Thompson street and the Ladies' Aid Society of the church. Surviving are her husband, Herman; two daughters, Mrs. Amanda Thuersam and Mrs. Irwin Hils; a son Edward; six grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. John Roloff, Mrs. Charles Schulmeister and Mrs. Fred Vorpahl, all of the Tonawandas. Rites will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the residence. The Rev. Robert Hein will officiate. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.
