  Watertown NY Daily Times - 11/21/1928 Alexandria Bay. Nov. 21. A var iety shower was given by Mrs. Anne Shangraw in the St. James hotel Monday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. John Dobbins who were married in Redwood Nov. 10. Among the many gifts presented them was a complete chest of silver by intimate friends of Mr. Dobbins. Cards were played in the evening. Elinor Bailey and Lloyd Sampson holding high scores. The consolation prizes went to Mrs. Louis Ritter and Joe Kerr.
