- Diamond Pipiles
Of Newfane, NY entered into rest peacefully at the age of 94 on Monday, July 19 2021. He joins his late wife Edna of 58 years who preceded him into rest on June 4th, 2011. He was born in Lockport, NY April 6th 1927, the son of Ernest and Elizabeth Pipiles. He was an Army Veteran and Chemical Engineer who had worked for Durez Occidental Petroleum for 30 years before becoming a full time farmer. Diamond and Edna moved to Newfane in 1967 and had owned and operated Pipiles Farm for 54 years. Diamond and Edna wintered in Florida and enjoyed warmer climate and outdoor activities. He liked to keep active and learn new things, he enjoyed being busy and thinking of ways to fix or improve things. He told his kids he wanted his gravestone to read “He tried”. His greatest source of pride and joy were his children and all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Father of Ernest (Vadonna) of Wilson, Deborah (Claude) Woolley of Gasport, Diamond (Nancy) of East Grand Forks, MN , William (Marjorie) of Newfane, Karen (Alex) Andrews of Grand Island, Edward (Linette) of Olcott, and Matthew (Brande) of Barker and the late Connie Weir, father in law to Alan Weir of Newfane. Brother to Ernestine Molisani of Newfane and the late John Pipiles, late Alexandra Kirchner, and late Fotina Enderby. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Diamond requested no wake. A private burial ceremony to be held at Corwin Cemetery, Newfane, NY. Memorials can be made to Roswell Park Cancer Research Hospital would be appreciated.
