Lewiston, Nov. 7.-Although his
death came not unexpected, yet t h is
community was saddened to l e a r n ofi
the death of William Hoag Bale, a
pioneer resident of t h i s village, which
occurred at the home of h i s daughter.
Mrs. K. A. Whitaker, Tuesday,
November 4 th.
Deceased has lived in this village
upwards of 50 years, was a prominent
member, of the Presbyterian, church,
and he had the sincere friendship ,and
respect of all who knew him. He
was 92 years. 10 m o n t h s and 21 days
old. but h e h a d been an Invalid for
several years past.
The funeral was held at his late
home on Plain street, yesterday
(Thursday) afternoon, the Rev.
George Noetlljng officiating, and interment
was in Lewiston cemetery.
Mr. Bale is survived by -threedaughters,
Mrs. .Stone of Vermontville,
Mich.. . Mrs. J a m e s McNair of Sun-
Meld. Mich., and Mrs. E. A. Whitaker
of this village; one sister, Mrs. Philip
Wager of Model City, and one brother,
John Bale of Medina.
