LAKE PLACID, FL — Bradley K. Neubauer, age 59, of Lake Placid, FL, entered into rest, unexpectedly, on October 16, 2010, after a lengthy illness, at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, on April 25, 1951 to Albert and Emma Neubauer.
Brad was raised in Youngstown, NY, and was a graduate of Lewiston Porter High School. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge in 1973. He was a graduate of NCCC and worked as an inhalation therapist at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital. Later, he worked at GM Delphi in Lockport, NY, for over 30 years, until his retirement. His greatest pleasures were fishing, hunting, playing cards, and he was an avid bowler on several leagues. He moved to Lake Placid, Florida, after his retirement to be near the peaceful lakes where he could fish and be surrounded by nature. He volunteered his time doing electric work for the VFW Club in Lake Placid, where he was dearly loved by all. He will be greatly missed for his wonderful sense of humor.
Brad is survived by sisters, Gail (Gary) Reid of Naples Florida, and Bonnie (Vincent) Jarosz of Woodbridge, VA; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Albert Neubauer; and mother, Emma Neubauer.
A private service will be held at the Lake where Brad loved to fish. Their will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
