The marriage of Miss Leona
Wackett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles A. Wackett, of 128 Eightieth
street, and Ellwood Martin, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew C. Martin.
1529 LaSalle avenue, took place at
the home of the bride on September
7. The house was attractively decorated
throughout with asters,
gladlolas and snap dragons.
The bride was very charming in
a colonial-fashioned Marie taffeta
floor-length gown of American beauty,
with a slight train and tiny shirred
puffed sleeves. The V neckline
was clasped with an old-fashioned
cameo broach. Her shoulder-length
veil was of peacock blue maline,
with a tiara of fresh flowers to
match her colonial bouquet of tiny
lavender and yellow pompoms, yellow
tea-roses and gypsophila. Her
shoes were alsol of peacock blue.
The maid of honor, Miss Marcella
Malechis, was lovely in a gown of
peacock blue fashioned on the same
lines as that of the bride, her accessories
being American Beauty.
She carried a colonial bouquet of
old rose and yellow pompoms, Talisman
roses and black-eyed Susans.
The groom was attended by Plazido
Junquera.
The bride's mother wore a black
and white lace dress with black accessories.

The groom's mother wore a navy
blue dress with navy blue accessories.
The bridal party had dinner at
Louis' restaurant, the table being
centered with autumn flowers.
In the evening a reception was
held a t the home of the bride's parents
for 80 guests, at which a. buffet
luncheon was served, the table
being centered with a four-tier wedding
cake.
The bride was the recipient of
many lovely gifts.
Among the prenuptials held for
the bride were a personal shower by
Miss Marcella Malechis and a linen
shower by the groom's mother, Mrs.
A. Martin.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin left on a
wedding trip to Toronto, the bride
choosing as her going-away costume
a rose tan crepe dress with
black kid accessories and a shoulder
corsage of lilies and mixed flowers.
