John J. (Jack) Lazarz,
of 2202 Falls St., died
Memorial Medical C e n t e r,
Monday (Feb. 2, 1970) after a
short illness.
Born in Ludlow, Mass., he
had resided in Niagara Falls
for 60 years and attended local
schools.
An employe of the Union
Carbide Corp., Carbon Products
Division, for 39 years as a furnace
controller, he retired Oct.
1, 1968.
With his wife, he operated
a grocery and meat store at
the Falls Street address from
1946 to 1960.
He was a member of St.
Stephen's Society, Polish National
Alliance Group No. 1856,
and the Union Carbide Republic
Plant 35-Year Club.
He is survived by his wife,
Mary Grassier Lazarz; two
sons, Michael P. Lazarz, of
Lewiston, and Richard J.
Lazarz, of Grand Island; a
daughter, Mrs. C h a r l es
(Catherine) Tracey, of this city,
and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
Thursday at the Zajac Funeral
Home at 8:30 a.m. and at Our
Lady of the Rosary Church at
ft a.m. Burial will be in Holy
Trinity Cemetery.
Recitation of prayers will be
at the funeral home Wednesday
at 7:30 p.mr

Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m
