TONAWANDA Thomas Alexander Szabad, age 52, of Tonawanda, entered into rest on February 8, 2011. Born in North Tonawanda, NY, on April 12, 1958 to Mike and Paula (Ford) Szabad.
He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast. His 1979 custom Super Glide, painted by the late Tommy Warning, was his pride and joy. Thomas was employed at Pepsi Niagara and was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, in Bergholz.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Bonnie (Buchholz) Szabad; he will be forever missed by his daughter, Jennifer (Scott) Woods-Heim; three grandchildren, Savannah, Lucas and Ellie; his mother, Paula Szabad; brother, Jim (Sheryl) Szabad; sister, Sandra (Tom) Drummer and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father.
Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach, on Monday at 10:30 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Niagara Road and Luther Street in Bergholz. He will be taken to rest at Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield.
