Genevieve ‘Jenny’ Chiarenza, 79, of West Seneca, NY passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinette D’Antuono.
Jenny as she was known to family and friends attended local schools and earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Niagara County Community College. She was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge in Niagara Falls, NY. Jenny was an avid fan of the NY Yankees and enjoyed playing Bingo and going to the casino. She also loved being a “snow bird” to Florida to visit her son.
Jenny was predeceased by her first husband Frank Conny and her second husband Lawrence Chiarenza. She is survived by two children Charles F. (Pearl) Chiarenza of Brandon, FL and Amy L. (John) Orsini of Orchard Park, NY and was predeceased by one son Lawrence Chiarenza. She is also survived by two grandsons Matthew and Nathaniel Chiarenza, ten siblings Dario D’Antuono of Niagara Falls, NY; Antonio (Luann) D’Antuono of Placentia, CA, Olga (James) Allen of Santa Maria, CA, Robert D’Antuono of Lewiston, NY, Joseph (Linda) D’Antuono, Lewis (Florence) D’Antuono both of Niagara Falls, NY, Rose (Thomas) Dorgan of Lewiston, NY, Shirley D’Antuono Racine, Jack (Janine) D’Antuono and Lawrence (Judy) D’Antuono all of Niagara Falls, NY as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by two brothers Guido D’Antuono and Mario D’Antuono.
Visitation will be on Friday from 3 - 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday, March 12th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241.
