He was born on May 27. 1916 in
Frankfort, NY., a son of the late Anna
Genovese and Salvatore Bono Mr.
Bono served his country during WW II
in the U.S. Army, 36th Armored Infantry
Division, Third Army, Europe. On
July 29, 1967, he married Nancy (Paniccia
LaParne) Bono. She passed away
on March 9.1983..
Mr. Bono was an employee of Keiscy-
Hayes Corp.. retiring in 1976 after 24
years of service. He was a member of
the I.A.M. Union Local No. 1509, Sons of
Italy Lodge No. 2054, the East Utica Se-'
nior Center. American Legion Post 1290
and the V.F.W. of Utica.
Mr. Bono is survived by two brothers.
Sam Bono of Frankfort and Joseph
Bono of Utica; two sisters, Mrs. Sophie
Reina. Frankfort and Mrs. Philip
(Rose) Nardi. Clayton. N.Y.; several
nieces and nephews. He was predeceased
by a sister. Ada (Bono) Favat
and a brother. Leo Salvatore Bono
The funeral will be Thursday at 8:30
a.m. from The V.J. Ioeovozzi Funeral
Home. Inc.. 203 Second Ave.. Frankfort
and 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Frankfort.
Interment will be in St. Agnes
Cemetery, Utica.
Friends and relatives may call
Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 at the Funeral
Home.
