A pretty wedding was solemnized
on Saturday afternoon at four
o'clock when Miss Barbara Jean
Blodgett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Boyd A. Blodgett of West Main St.,
became the bride of Philip H. Vannier,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Har
R. Vannier of West Moreland
drive, Snyder, N. Y. The ceremony
was.conducted by the Rev William
V. McLean, pastor of t he Fredonia
Methodist church' in the the
Blodgett garden before an arbor
of green foliage and pink and
white peonies.
Attending the couple were Miss
Alberta Blodgett, cousin of the
bride Luther A. Blodgett, the best
nan, brother of the bride.
. The bride wore a pink crepe
afternoon dress and carried, a bridal
bouquet of white rosebuds
painted daisies,°mountain heliotrope.
Her tiara was of similar
flowers. Miss Blodgett wore an.
afternoon dress of blue crepe and
carried pink and blue garden flowers.
A lawn reception was held' for
15 guests following the ceremony.
After a trip to the Adirondack
mountains, Mr. and Mrs Vannier
will reside in Snyder. The former
Miss Blodgett is a graduate of Re-
donia High school and Fredonia
Teachers college. She is employed
in Buffalo. Mr. Vannier, a gradu-
ate of Bennett High school in Buf-
falo, attended the University of
Buffalo and served during the war
with the U. S. Army. He is now
employed in Depew.
Mrs. James H. Blodgett of Fre-
donia, Mrs. Donald P. Aldrich of
Sheridan, Mrs. C. B. Vannier of
Buffalo and a group of her busi-
ness associates entertained at pre-
nuptial affairs for the bride.

Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Vannier,
Mr. and Mrs^A. R. Robertson,
Mr. and Mrs. Forbes Robertson
and daughter, Marcia, Mr. and
Mrs. William H. Gage and family,
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Vannier and
son, Robert, Mr. and Mrs. Edward
W. Stone and children, Sandra,
James and Alan, all of Buffalo
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Armour of
Wanakah; Mrs. R. C. Cooper of
Hamburg; and Mr. and Mrs. James
N. Griffin and daughter, Donna,
of Silver Creek.
