Jennie Cipolla

Jennie (Rizzuto) Cipolla, 91, of Sanborn, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 27, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Anotonietta (D'Amico) Rizzuto.
Jennie was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. On June 3, 1950, she married Casper Cipolla at the former Holy Rosary Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Cipolla predeceased her on April 28, 1995.
She worked as an inspector at Nabisco Shredded Wheat Co., and later as a cook at Page's Restaurant and a waitress at Park Terrace. Jennie was a longtime member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, NY. When she was younger she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother as well as a Girl Scout Troop Leader for her children's troops. She enjoyed baking and cooking, but most of all, Jennie's greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.
Jennie is survived by three children, Carmen (Virginia) Cipolla, Joseph (Loretta) Cipolla, both of Sanborn, NY and Joanna (Kenneth) Krawczyk of Youngstown, NY; six grandchildren, Vanessa (Anthony) Alaimo, Matthew Cipolla, Michael (Mandi) Cipolla, Valentina Cipolla, Kyle (Kimberly) Krawczyk and Kathryn Krawczyk; one brother, Joseph (late Caroline) Rizzuto of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother-in-law, Anthony Cipolla of Welland, Ontario, Canada; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and her dog, Jazz. She was predeceased by four brothers, Charles (late Jeanette) Rizzuto, James (late Marion) Rizzuto, Samuel (late Christine) Rizzuto and Michael (late Dolores) Rizzuto; one sister, Florence (Joseph of Niagara Falls, NY) Maggi; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Cipolla, Verna (Joseph) Bishiera, Lucy (Gino) Roy, Josephine Bowes, Lily (John of Ohio) Gobbi and Samuel (Joan Reale) Cipolla.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will be held on Monday, September 30th at 9 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, 6630 Luther Street, Bergholz, NY with Rev. Phillip Sallach officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran School, 6630 Luther Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
