Oriskany, May 19-The marriage
of Miss Jane Doyle, only
daughter of Mrs. Bernice Doyle
and the late William L. Doyle, and
Paul Buehler, eldest son of Mir.
and Mrs. Gottlieb Buehler, took
place at 9:30 this morning in St.
Stephen's Church. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev. Theodore
F. Shannon, pastor. The attendants
were Miss Rose Buehler,
sister of the bridegroom, and
Robert Heeley, of Springfield,
Mass.
The bride wore a long gown of
white Spanish lace over white
satin, with finger tip veil fastened
to a lace cap in halo effect, and
carried an arm bouquet of white
roses. Her maid of honor wore
heaven blue marquisette, with a
tiara of blue flowers and short
veil. Her bouquet was of pink
roses.
The mother of the bride wore a
gown of blue crepe, with accessories
of a darker blue, and a corsage
of pink roses, while Mrs. Buehler,
mother of the groom, wore lavender
crepe, with matching hat, and
corsage of yellow roses.
Following the ceremony, a luncheon
was served to the immediate
families at the home of the
bride's mother, 1105 Utica St. and
after a t r i p . to Washington and
other points, the couple will be
at home at the same address,
Mrs. Buehler is a gradual e of
Oriskany Central School and the
Utica School of Commerce, and is
employed in the Utica office of
the New York State Department
of Public Works. Mr. Buehler attended
Oriskany School, and is
now employed by the Oriskany
Malleable Iron Company.
Before her marriage, Miss
Doyle was entertained at a dinner
and shower , at the Sanford
Tea Room in Utica, by her associates
in the office of the Department
of Public Works; and
at a shower given by Miss Rose
Buehler at her home.
