Before the gladioli- banked altar
of Warrens Corners Methodist
Church, Miss Martha J. Parker,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William
E. Parker, Warrens Corners, became
the bride of Carl W. Beakman, son
of Mrs. Lena Beakman, 76 Erie St.,
Oct. 30, the Rev. Charles W. Taylor
officiating.
Her gown was of white satin wltn
a low neckline on a shirred bodice
and pearl beaded yolk. The sleeves
pointed over her wrists and the
dress featured a long train. A veil
of illusion was attached to a
starched lace dutch cap with
beaded pearl trim. She carried a
bouquet of white roses, pompons,
and stephanotis.
The bride was attended by a
maid of honor, Miss Ethel M. Smith,
Lockport, two bridesmaids, Miss
Frances Beakman, sister of the
groom, and Mrs. David Carlton.
Miss Smith wore a gown of orchid
with a taffeta bodice and net
hooped-skirt, and a halo headdress
of ruffled net. Her bouquet con-
sisted of yellow roses, and orchid
pompons, tied with matching rib-
bons, Miss Beakman chose a match-
ing gown of pink and carried talis-
man roses and bronze pompons.
Mrs. Carlton wore blue with a bou-
quet of pink, bronze and white
roses.
The mother of the bride dressed
in black and on her shoulder wore
a corsage of red roses and white
pompons. The groom's mother wore
a soldier-blue dress with matching
accessories and yellow roses and
white pompons.
Pfc. Linus Beakman, Fort Wright,
brother of the groom was best man
and the ushers were Russell C.
Parker, the bride's brother, and
Linus Durie of Lockport.
A reception was held at the home
of the bride, with 150 guests at-
tending. Out of town guests were
from Syracuse, Shortsville, North
Tonawanda, Buffalo and Lockport.
After a trip through Pennsyl-
vania and Ohio, Mr. and Mrs.
Beakman will reside in Lockport.
