An attractive wedding of the
Easter season took place at 12
o'clock Wednesday at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Featherstone of.
Coleman road, Barker, when their
daughter, Miss Ethel Leontine
Featherstone, was united in marriage
with Henry W. Starks, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Starks, Middleport.
The ceremony was performed
by the Rev. Earl L. Winters
of Barker Methodist church.
Pussy willow and daffodils
banked the archway where the
marriage vows were exchanged. Mrs.
Ralph R. Bell played the wedding
music, "I Love You Truly" and the
Lohengrin Wedding March.
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, wore a floorlength
gown of white taffeta fashioned
with puffed sleeves and
carried a bouquet of white and yellow
roses.
The bridesmaid, Miss Grace
Starks, sister of the groom, wore
aquamarine crepe and her bouquet
was of pink roses and carnations.
Walter Bacon of Medina was best
man.
A luncheon for 30 followed the
ceremony. Twelve were seated at
the bridal table which was centered
with a wedding cake topped
with a minature bride and groom.
Yellow candles completed the table
arrangements.
Mr. and Mrs. Starks left for a
short trip, the bride wearing a
three-piece navy costume with gray
hat and accessories. They will make
their home in Barker.
The bride, who is a member of
Barker Central school faculty was
feted at variety showers given by
Mrs. Frank Scharlau of Coleman
road and Mrs. Roy Corser of Lyndonville.
Four post-nuptial parties
also are plarjned.
