St. Joseph Church, North Tonawanda, was the
setting at 11 a.m. today for the wedding of Miss Sandra
Louise Arbeiter of North Tonawanda and Dennis
Joseph Weiss of Cheektowaga. Baskets of white flowers
enhanced the altar.
The Rev. Chester H. Poiewicz
officiated in the double ring ceremony
uniting in marriage the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence
A. Arbeiter of Weaver
Parkway, North Tonawanda and
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Norbert
J. Weiss of Union Road, Cheektowaga.
The bride, who was given in
marriage by her father, wore a
white, embroidered silk linen
gown. The bodice was designed
with a circlet neckline and short
sleeves. The bell-shaped skirt
featured a wide, silk linen cummerbund
and a detachable chapel-
length train of silk accented
with a middle panel of embroidery.
Her veil of silk illusion was
caught to a crown of orange blossoms.
She carried a bouquet of
Phalaenopsis orchids and placed
flowers at the altar of the Virgin
Mary.
Mrs. Daniel K. Andrews attended
her sister as matron of honor.
She wore a full-length gown of
orchid and violet taffeta fashioned
with elbow - length sleeves,
an oval neckline and a wide midriff
enhanced at the back-waistline
with a bow. The bell-shaped
skirt fell into a slight train. She
wore a forward, flowered headpiece
and carried a spray of yellow
carnations and orchid hyacinths.
Also attending the bride were
another sister, Gayle C. Arbeiter
and Frances M. Kozak who were
similarly attired.
Robert A. Weiss attended his
brother as best man. Ushers were
John M. Attea and John P. Roetzer.
The bride's mother wore a
foam - green sata-peau sheath
dress with matching accessories.
The bridegroom's mother chose a
Geranium chiffon sheath dress
w i t h matching accessories.
White orchid corsages complemented
their costumes.
A reception followed the ceremony
in Stephen Sikora American
Legion Post Home. Mr. and
Mrs. Weiss are traveling to
Washington, D. C. and Virginia
Beach and will be at home April
14 in Cheektowaga.
Prenuptial entertainments for
the bride were given by Mrs.
John Attea* Mrs. John Roetzer,
Mrs. Robert Weiss, Mrs. Harold
Kendziora, Mrs. Rudolph Arbeiter,
Mrs. Michael Arbeiter, Miss
Frances Kozak and Mrs. Daniel
Andrews.
