Lauer-Murchie
Carrying a white mother of
pearl prayer book covered with
an orchid, the gift of the bridegroom,
Miss Patricia Janet Murchie,
was united in holy matrimony
with Mr. Paul Pearson Lauer, in
the rectory of Mt. Carmel College,
Niagara Falls, Ont.
The marriage of the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Murchie,
McLeod Rd., Niagara Falls, Ont.,
to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis
F. Laner, Sr., Monteagle St., took
plice before the altar adorned with
pink and white gladoli, with the
Rev. Daniel Egan, officiating.
Mr. Donald Murchie, brother of
the bride, escorted Miss Murchie
to .the altar. She wore a ballerina length
gown of white nylon net
The strapless bodice was covered
with a brief jacket of the net, rising
above a three tiered skirt which
was accordion pleated and trimmed
with white satin, A tiara of seed
pearls, finished with satin held the
fingertip-length veil of nylon net.
Mrs. Lewis .F. Lauer Jr., as matron-
of-honor, and Miss Joan Butler,
as bridesmaid, wore ballerina length
nylon net gowns, fashioned
with strapless, ruffled bodices with
satin sashes tied in huge bows at
the back. They wore matching
stoles and face veils attached to
nylon net bands trimmed with satin
flowers.
Mrs. Lauer's gown was teal blue,
and she carried a colonial bouquet
of yellow baby mums tied with
yellow satin ribbon. Shrimp was
the color of Miss Butler's gown
and her flowers were orchid baby
mums tied with matching stream-
The mother of the bride was
attired in an afternoon dress of
eggshell faille with black accessories
and a corsage of pink and
white carnations. The mother of
the bridegroom favored a purple
frock with black accessories, and
a corsage of white carnations.
A three-piece orchestra provided
music for dancing at the reception
held at St. Patrick's Hall, Niagara
Falls, Ont.
The bride, with her husband,
departed for the Adirondack mountains
wearing a double breasted
brown tweed suit with which she
wore a pink feather cloche, gray
accessories, and an orchid corsage.
After the honeymoon Mr. and
Mrs. Lauer will be at home at 2952
McKoon Ave.
