    ORISKANY - A military fu-
    neral for Marine Pfc. Daniel
    Garry Buehler, 20, will be held
    at the Buehler home, 1105 Utica
    St., and at St. Stephen's Church
    where a solemn requiem high
    Mass will be offered.
    The day of the funeral is
    pending arrival of the body
    from the West coast. Interment
    will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery,
    Whitesboro.
    Pfc. Buehler was killed Sun-
    day in an automobile accident
    in California. He had been sta-
    tioned at the El Toro Marine
    base there.
    Son of Paul G. and Jane
    Doyle Buehler, he was born
    Sept. 24, 1948 in Utica. He was
    graduated from St. Francis de
    Sales grammer school and in
    1966 from Notre Dame High
    School in Utica.
    He had lived his entire life
    in Oriskany and before entering
    the Marine Corps in May of 1968
    was employed by H. Waterbury
    and Sons Co., Oriskany.
    Pfc. Buehler was a member
    of St. Stephen's Church where
    he had served as an altar boy
    for several years, and later as
    an usher. He was also active
    in Little League serving as
    manager.
    Surviving with his parents,
    are a sister, Mrs. Howard C.
    (Mary) Davis, Oriskany; three
    brothers, William P., Utica
    John A. Wadham's Hall, Og-
    densburg, and, Thomas S.
    Buehler, at home; his paternal
    grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G.
    Buehler, Oriskany; his ma-
    ternal grandmother, Mrs. Wil-
    liam (Bernice) Doyle, Oris-
    kany; an aunt, Mrs. Robert
    (Rose) Heeley, and an uncle,
    Arnold Buehler, Oriskany; two
    nieces and three nephews.
    Arrangements are in charge
    of the Martin J. Nunn Funeral
    Home, Rome.

    Oriskany - Miss Jane Doyle,
    daughter of Mrs. Bernice Doyle,
    1195 Utica St. and the late Wil-
    lian L. Doyle, and Paul Buehler,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Gottlieb
    Buehler, were married at 9:30
    a.m. Saturday in a ceremony per-
    formed in St. Stephen's Church by
    the Rev. Theodore F. Shannon,
    pastor.
    The couple was attended by
    Miss Rose Buehler, sister of the
    bridegroom and Roger Healey
    of Springfield, Mass.
    The bridde wore a gown of white
    Spanish lace over white satin with
    finger tip veil fashened to a lace
    cap in halo effect and carried
    white roses. Her maid of honor
    was gowned in heaven blue mar-
    quisette and wore a tiara of blue
    flowers to wich a short veil was
    fashened. Her bouquet was of pink
    roses.
    Mrs. Doyle's gown was of blue
    crepe, with accessories of a darker
    hue, and corsage of pink roses.
    The bridegroom's mother wore
    lavender crepe with matching hat
    and a corsage of yellow roses.
    Following the ceremony, the
    young couple left by motor for
    Washington, D. C. and other
    pooints of interest. After une

    Mrs. Buehler is a graduate of
    the Oriskany Central School and
    the Utica School of Commerce,
    and is employed in the Utica of-
    fice of the New York State De-
    partment of Public Works. Afr.
    Buehler attended the Oriskany
    School and is now employed by
    the Oriskany Malleable Iron Com-
    pany.
    The bride was entertained at a
    dinner and shower given at the
    Sanford Tea Room by her asso-
    ciates in the office of the Depart-
    ment of Public Works; and at a
    shower given by Miss Rose Bueh-
    ler as her home.

    ORISKANY-Gottlieb G. Bueh-
    ler, 81, of 209 Main St., died yes-
    terday in St. Luke's-Memonal
    Hospital Center.
    He was born in Biel, Switzer-
    land, and attended Swiss schools.
    He came to Rome in 1913,, later
    living in Stokes and for the past
    41 years had lived in Oriskany.
    He was a cheese maker by trade
    for many years in Stokes and for
    a short time had been empoyed
    in the Oriskany milk station. He
    was later empoyed at the Oris-
    kany Malleable Iron Works He
    retired 16 years ago.
    Mr. Buehler was a Protestant.
    He married Marie Niklaus in
    New York City in 1915.
    Besides his wife he leaves a
    daughter , Mrs. Robert (Rose0
    Heeley; two sons, Paul G., and
    Arnold A Buehler, all of Oris-
    kany; a brother Arthur and a
    sister, Adele Zaugg, both of
    Switzerland.
    The funeral will be at 1Tues-
    day from the J. W. Dimbeby
    Funeral Home in Whitesboro
    with burial in the Oriskany Cem-
    etery.
    Calling hours will be from 2 to
    4 and 7 to 9 today.

    Gottlieb married NIKLAUS, Marie about 1915 in New York City, New York. Marie was born about 1894 in Switzerland; died on 4 Mar 1971. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Oriskany, May 19-The marriage
    of Miss Jane Doyle, only
    daughter of Mrs. Bernice Doyle
    and the late William L. Doyle, and
    Paul Buehler, eldest son of Mir.
    and Mrs. Gottlieb Buehler, took
    place at 9:30 this morning in St.
    Stephen's Church. The ceremony
    was performed by the Rev. Theodore
    F. Shannon, pastor. The attendants
    were Miss Rose Buehler,
    sister of the bridegroom, and
    Robert Heeley, of Springfield,
    Mass.
    The bride wore a long gown of

    Following the ceremony, a luncheon
    was served to the immediate
    families at the home of the
    bride's mother, 1105 Utica St. and
    after a t r i p . to Washington and
    other points, the couple will be
    at home at the same address,
    Mrs. Buehler is a gradual e of
    Oriskany Central School and the
    Utica School of Commerce, and is
    employed in the Utica office of
    the New York State Department
    of Public Works. Mr. Buehler attended
    Oriskany School, and is
    now employed by the Oriskany
    Malleable Iron Company.
    Before her marriage, Miss
    Doyle was entertained at a dinner
    and shower , at the Sanford
    Tea Room in Utica, by her associates
    in the office of the Department
    of Public Works; and
    at a shower given by Miss Rose
    Buehler at her home.
